Bio

Dan Martin started his role as the Simpson head shooting sports coach in 2018, along with the creation of the program.

Martin is currently NRA/CTA, NSCA and SCTP certified. His team competes all over the Midwest, including Association of College Unions International (ACUI) events.

Born in Chillicothe, Illinois, Martin was an independent shooting sports instructor from 1998-2018. He spent time as the head boys basketball coach at St. Edwards School from 2011-14 and served as an assistant football coach during that same span with the Chillicothe Grey Ghosts JFL. From 2012-14, Martin was the head boys baseball coach for the USSSA Chillicothe Cyclones. In 2017, he was the assistant boys baseball coach for the USSSA Indianola Braves.

Martin earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from St. Ambrose University and obtained a master's in business management from the University of Phoenix. 

He currently resides in Indianola with his wife, Sarah, and with their son, Dagan and daughter, Lake.
