The most prolific scorer in Simpson men's basketball history, Dave Keller has held the school record for points in a career since playing his last game in 1979. With a remarkable 1,881 points, Keller holds the record by nearly 200 points. The two-time First Team All-Iowa Conference performer also holds school records for free throws made (677) and attempted (1,119) and is fifth with 820 rebounds. 

A 6-5 guard/forward, Keller shot better than 53 percent throughout his career, averaging 20.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in 92 games. As a freshman in 1978-79, Keller was the third-leading scorer (14.6 ppg) on Simpson's first NCAA Tournament team, helping the Redmen and head coach Dick Starr to a 17-9 mark and a third-place finish in the Iowa Conference. He averaged a double-double with 24.4 points and 11 rebounds as a junior and put up 24.8 points and 8.4 rebounds as a senior in 1978-79.
