Men’s volleyball secures first win in program history

SALINA, Kan. – The Simpson College men's volleyball team closed its weekend at the Coyote Classic with its first win in program history, a 3-0 sweep of Central Christian College of Kansas.

In the first set, the Storm (1-7) knocked down 12 of their 27 kills and added eight service aces to win 25-18. Simpson followed with a 25-15 win in set two before outlasting the Tigers (0-15) 26-24 in the final set for the first sweep in team history.

Earlier in the day, Simpson fell 3-0 to the tournament host Kansas Wesleyan (9-7). The Coyotes dominated the first set 25-6 and then churned out 25-10 and 25-16 wins in sets two and three.
