At Simpson
- Enters second season in 2023-24
- Led the Storm to a 5-5 dual record in first year
- Coached Jenna Joseph to the NCWWC National Championships in her inaugural season
- Announced as first head coach of the women's wrestling program in February 2022
- Served as an assistant coach and director of recruiting and technical development for the men's wrestling team for two years prior

Wrestling Career
- Amassed a record of 127-16 while competing for the University of Iowa
- Won 43 consecutive matches from 1994-96, a streak which still ranks 10th in program history
- Was a member of three national champion teams, two of which were coached by Dan Gable
- Received the Mike Howard Award two times, an honor handed out annually to the program's most valuable wrestler
- Went an impressive 33-0 to capture his first career national title at 126 pounds as a sophomore in 1995, a year after earning All-American honors with a fifth-place performance
- Capped off his career with another national title in 1998, this time coming the 142-pound division
- Won two Big Ten titles, was tabbed the Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 1994, and received the Outstanding Wrestler of the Big Ten Championships honor as a senior in 1998
- Received two NCAA Academic All-American First Team honors and was a three-time academic all-conference honoree
- Amassed a dominant record of 172-0 with four state titles while competing for Iowa City High
- Was inducted into the University of Iowa Hall of Fame in 2018 and the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2006
- Also won Junior and Cadet National titles while in high school and was named to the 1993 Wrestling USA's Dream Team at 130 pounds
