Morgan Taylor tied a career-high with 20 kills and Hannah Lester set a career-high with 17, but it wasn’t enough as the Simpson volleyball team lost a five-set thriller to Nebraska Wesleyan on Thursday. Nebraska Wesleyan won by set score of 25-21, 22-25, 18-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Madison Hawtrey had 12 kills to lead three players in double figures and Simpson beat Iowa Wesleyan 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-21) on Thursday, giving head coach Lana Smith a milestone win.
LeMay, Martinez named A-R-C Players of the Week

Simpson volleyball players Megan LeMay and Ariana Martinez have been named American Rivers Conference Players of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Sept. 16, the league office announced Tuesday. LeMay is the league’s offensive player of the week while Martinez is the league’s co-defensive player of the week.
