Lester earns conference volleyball honors

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Simpson volleyball player Hannah Lester earned Honorable Mention All-American Rivers Conference honors for her performance during the 2018 season, as voted on by the league's head coaches.

An all-conference pick a year ago, Lester posted 200-plus kills for the second straight season. The Storm finished 9-18 in 2018, including a 2-6 mark in league play.

• Junior middle blocker from Indianola, Iowa
• Tallied a team-high 224 kills at a .241 clip
• Led team in kills despite posting just the third-most attacks
• Second on the team with 50 total blocks
• Had a career-high 17 kills in the Storm's five-set loss to Nebraska Wesleyan on Oct. 11
