Bio
A two-time all-conference keeper and three-year letterwinner, Petersen leads an experienced Simpson back line in 2012. The senior is coming off a career-high 11 wins in 2011 and hopes to improve upon that number in 2012. Entering her senior year, Petersen is tied for second in Simpson history in career shutouts (12), third in saves (202) and goals against average (1.28) and fourth in wins (22).
2011 (junior)
Appeared in 21 games, starting 19 ... named honorable mention all-conference ... won a career-best 11 games in goal, going 11-5-1 ... made 83 saves and posted a 1.46 goals against average ... turned in three clean sheets and helped Simpson to 10 shutouts as a team, third in the Iowa Conference ... helped team post a 1.17 goals against average, also third in the league ... made a career-high 15 saves in a 2-1 loss at Wartburg on oct. 8 ... earned a varsity letter.
