Wrestling Career
  • Competed for the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned two All-American honors and was a four-time NCAA Qualifier
  • Climbed the record books with the Panthers and graduated in fourth place with 18 pins in a season and ended fifth all-time with 38 career pins (the third most among active Division I wrestlers when he graduated in 2017)
  • Saw success early in his career with the Panthers and racked up a 20-5 record during his freshman season
  • Had a career-high 34 victories in 2013-14 and posted a perfect 13-0 dual record, while sweeping the Mid-American Conference duals at 7-0
  • Garnered his first All-American honor as a redshirt freshman with a sixth-place finish at nationals, becoming the team's first freshman to receive the distinction since 1996
  • Tallied a second trip to the NCAA Tournament as a sophomore after placing second at the MAC Championships
  • Become the 33rd Panther to garner a second All-American trophy the following season
  • Took second place at the MAC Championships again his final season, cementing his place at the NCAA Tournament for a fourth time
