Bio

After a five-year playing career at Simpson, Cameron Kincaid joins head coach Brian Niemuth's staff as an assistant coach in 2022-23. 

Kincaid was named the team's Co-MVP the last two seasons after playing an integral role in the Storm's sensational 38-2 run that included two American Rivers Conference Championships, a league tournament title and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. She earned D3hoops.com All-Region IX Third Team and All-A-R-C First Team honors for her efforts in 2021-22, making her a two-time all-region and four-time all-conference performer for Simpson. Kincaid previously landed on the all-region second team in 2020-21 and was named first team all-conference in 2020-21, second team all-conference in 2019-20 and honorable mention all-conference in 2018-19. 

One of the most reliable free throw shooters in school history, Kincaid defended her position atop the DIII leaderboard with a 92.2 free throw percentage in 2021-22. She converted 106 free throws throughout the season, including 36 consecutive between Dec. 29-Feb. 5, and made 94.0 percent of her attempts in league play to set a new A-R-C record. In 2020-21, Kincaid shot 95.9 percent at the stripe to earn her first NCAA statistical champion award. Over the two years combined, she only missed 11 free throws in 164 attempts for a 93.3 percentage.

Kincaid became the 18th member of Simpson's 1,000-point club on Dec. 29, 2021 and finished her career ranked 10th all-time with 1,247 points. She scored 329 of her points at the free throw line, the third-most in school history, and ranks second all-time with an 88.0 percent shooting clip at the charity stripe. Her 501 career rebounds made her just the ninth player to surpass 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. 

The Olathe, Kan. native earned four academic all-conference awards and was named CoSIDA Academic All-District as a fifth-year. Kincaid received Simpson's prestigious Barborka Award in 2022, the highest honor for senior athletes on campus, and graduated with a degree in biology.
