Bio

The 2010-11 season marks Bill Wright's second as head coach of the Simpson men's tennis team. Wright was a member of the Simpson College tennis team from 1989-1992 and currently serves as a managing director for transaction services with the Terrus Real Estate Group.

Wright has held a number of coaching positions throughout his career and directed the tennis program for the Indianola Parks & Recreation Department in 1991. He has also coached youth basketball, baseball and football in Norwalk and Des Moines.

As a prep athlete at Denison High School, Wright was a member the 1987 Class 1-A State Championship team. In 1988, Denison advanced to the Substate Final.

Wright currently serves as the chairperson of the Board of Managers at the South Suburban YMCA. Previously, he served as president of the Iowa commercial Real Estate Association (2006), the state president of the Future Business Leaders of America/Phi Beta Lambda (200-2001), as a board member for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, North Central States Chapter and as a board member and chairperson for the City of Norwalk Planning & Zoning Commission.
