Jake Potratz is entering his third year as an assistant coach on the Simpson men's soccer staff in 2023. 

Potratz earned three letters while playing for head coach Rick Isaacson from 2017-19. He was a two-time all-conference selection, earning first team and honorable mention honors. Potratz also received recognition on the academic all-conference squad twice.

The five-time league defensive player of the week ended his career with 40 wins while in goal, including 18 shutouts. Potratz appeared in 57 matches with 52 starts to hold a .792 save percentage and .98% goals against average.

The Norwalk, Iowa native earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Simpson in 2020.
