Earned a varsity letter ... 82.6 average in 11 rounds ranked third on the team ... low round 72 came in the first round of the Wartburg Spring Invitational (4/14) ... 72 marked the team's lowest of the season ... shot 73 in the fourth round of the IIAC Championship (5/5) ... tied for 21st at the IIAC Championship (95-84-79-73=331).

Before Simpson
Attended Iowa Wesleyan College for two years (January 2010 to December 2011) ... a member of the golf team, lettered both years and served as team captain in 2011.

A 2009 graduate of Indianola High School ... coached by Mike Sheil and Murph Hutson ... named Most Improved Player (2006) and Most Valuable Player (2008) during his career ... served as team captian in 2008 ... three-year letterwinner ... also letterd two years in basketball.

Personal
Born September 13, 1990 ... son of Chuck Hale and Karie Ellwanger ... has three brothers, Seth Hale, Mason Hale and Elijah Ellwanger, and one sister, Taylor Hale ... grandfather, Larry Shoop, was the golf coach at Simpson from 2003-2010 ... majoring in Sports Administration ... a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
