Bio

Reed Hoskins was hired as the 34th head coach in Simpson football history on Dec. 12, 2022.

Hoskins makes his way to Indianola after spending the last seven seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Illinois Wesleyan. He helped guide the Titans to a 41-22 record during that time as well as a pair of College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin titles in 2017 and 2018.

During Hoskins' time at Illinois Wesleyan, the Titan offense produced 20 All-CCIW selections including five during the 2018 season which saw Illinois Wesleyan rank top-10 nationally in eight statistical categories. The Titans went 6-4 this past season, a three-win improvement from the previous year and the fifth six-win campaign in the last seven years.

Prior to Illinois Wesleyan, Hoskins spent the 2011-2015 seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Wisconsin-La Crosse. He coached 18 all-conference performers while also serving as the academic coordinator for the Eagles, who maintained a team grade point average above 3.0 for 10 consecutive semesters.

From 2008-11, Hoskins was the passing game coordinator, quarterbacks and wide receivers coach at his alma mater and fellow American Rivers Conference foe Wartburg. He helped guide the Knights to league championships in both his first and last seasons in Waverly. Hoskins also had two coaching stints with St. Cloud State (2007-08) and North Carolina Wesleyan (2006-07).

Hoskins graduated from Wartburg in 2006 and was the starting quarterback for the Knights three seasons, earning second team all-conference recognition as a sophomore. He ranks fifth all-time in career passing yards (6,433), passing touchdowns (56), pass completions (489) and pass attempts (864).

Hoskins and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children: Haylee, Addison, and Carter.
