Robbie Aldinger joined the Simpson football coaching staff in February 2023. Aldinger will serve as the pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach under first-year head coach Reed Hoskins.

Aldinger came to Simpson from Hamline University. He joined the Pipers as a quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator in December 2020 and was promoted to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach ahead of the 2022 season.

Prior to his two years at Hamline, Aldinger served as an offensive graduate assistant at Grand Valley State University from 2019-20. He held a similar position at Southern Illinois University from 2017-18 while obtaining his master’s degree in kinesiology.

Aldinger began his coaching career as a four-year student assistant at his alma mater, the University of Mount Union. He worked with the Purple Raiders two additional seasons after graduating with a degree in public relations in 2015.

Originally from Springfield, Ohio, Aldinger resides in Indianola with his wife, Laura.
