• Coached by Lyle Alumbaugh
• Selected first team all-state by the Iowa Newspaper Association and academic all-state by the IFCA as a senior
• Selected to the Iowa Shrine Bowl as a senior
• Named first team all-district as a junior and senior
• Selected second team all-district as a sophomore 
• Athree time academic all-district selection
• Selected honorable mention all-conference in basketball as a senior
• Placed third at the state drill team competition on the co-ed drill team junior year
• Lettered in track and baseball
• A member of the National Honor Society
