Emma Christensen began her role as Director of Athletics Communication at Simpson College in October 2021. Christensen oversees Simpson's 25 varsity sports, cheer, dance and shooting sports club teams.

Christensen comes to Simpson after receiving her master's of sport administration from Upper Iowa University in 2020. While there, she served as a graduate assistant in the sports communication department. She worked with volleyball, women's soccer, women's basketball, softball, indoor and outdoor track and field and cross country.

The Malvern, Iowa native is no stranger to the Indianola community. Christensen is a 2017 graduate of Simpson and obtained degrees in sports administration and actuarial science. She was a work study student in the athletic communications department during her time on campus.
