Bio

Stacey Schutjer Myers ’12 is one of the most decorated players in Simpson women’s basketball history. She became the program’s only three-time All-American at the conclusion of her senior year and was also a three-time First Team All-Iowa Conference performer and D3hoops.com Second Team All-Region pick. 

One of only four players in school history to surpass 1,300 points and 700 rebounds,   Myers played an integral role in Simpson winning four regular season conference titles and two IIAC Tournament Championships between 2008-12. The Storm reached the NCAA Tournament each year Myers was on the squad. 

Myers closed her career sixth on the program’s all-time scoring list and third among the top rebounders. On the all-time career leaderboard, she currently ranks second in blocked shots (229), fourth in rebounding (712) and field goal attempts (1,029), fifth in free throws attempted (408), and seventh in points (1,388), free throws made (286), and made field goals (543).

Myers obtained a degree in sports administration from Simpson in 2012. She has worked as a project manager at Visionary Services in Des Moines for the last 10 years and resides in Prairie City with her husband, Zach, and daughter Greta. Her brother Derek and sister-in-law Katie also attended Simpson.
