Bio

Erin Goettl Putrah is one of the most decorated athletes in Simpson women’s soccer history, earning multiple accolades at the conference, regional, and national level. Erin was a three-time all-conference performer for the Storm, winning Iowa Conference MVP honors in 2001. She was named to the D3kicks.com All-Region team in 2003 and was voted Simpson’s Team MVP three straight seasons. A prolific player offensively, Erin was nationally-ranked in goals per game and points per game in 2002. She still holds single-game program records for points (15), goals (7), assists (4) and shots (16), as well as the single-season record for hat tricks (4).

Erin also excelled off the field, as demonstrated by being named academic all-district and all-conference twice. She was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team in 2003, still the only player in Simpson women's soccer history to achieve that distinction. In her final semester on campus, Erin was selected as the Most Outstanding Senior in Computer Science.

Erin graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science in 2004, joining the ranks of Zirous, a technology firm based in West Des Moines. Erin is a senior solutions analyst and has been with the company since 2004, marking nearly 20 years of service.

Erin and her husband Travis share two children, a daughter, Lillian, and a son, Micah. She coached youth and high school soccer in Yuma, Ariz., before settling in her current location of Andover, Kan. with her family.
