Bio

A two-time team captain for head coach Ron Peterson, Bart George '05 was a driving force as Simpson wrestling collected 84 victories from 2000-04 for the most in a four-year period in program history. The 2003-04 squad tallied 28 wins for a program best and ended fifth at the NCAA Championships. During that run, George earned two All-American awards at 197-pounds and was an Academic All-American.

One of nine Simpson grapplers to earn multiple All-American honors, George ended with 136 career victories, which still stands as fifth most in program history.

George graduated from Simpson in 2005 with a degree in environmental science and went on to earn his master's degree in natural resources from the University of Idaho in 2015. He currently works for the Kalispel Tribe as a wildlife program manager. George is married to Stacy and the couple have three children, Everett, Owen and Marilyn.
