A former Division II softball standout, Mickey Moenck is in her sixth season as an assistant softball coach for the Storm in 2022. She coaches the infielders.

Moenck played collegiately at Augustana (S.D.) as a pitcher and infielder, graduating in 2011. She earned four varsity letters for the Vikings, making 53 appearances in the circle throughout her career. She went 6-1 as a senior in 2011.

Moenck is an elementary teacher in the Carlisle Community School District in Carlisle, Iowa. She is married to Simpson's head cross country coach, Heath Moenck and the couple have a daughter, Eden.
