Kelli Sheda Wensel was a two-sport athlete for Simpson. She was a four-year letterwinner for the track team from 1990-93, and also lettered for the basketball team in 1990. She was a two-time indoor track All-American placing 5th in the 400 meters in 1992, then placing 2nd in the 400 in '93. She was also a two-year Conference MVP in 1992 and 1993. Sheda was also a five-time outdoor All-American. She placed 1st in the 4x4 relay in 1990, and placed 4th in the 4x4 relay in '91. In '93 she placed 1st in the 400 meters, 3rd in the long jump, 4th in the 200 meters, and was 5th in the 4x4 relay.
