A competitor like no other to step inside the Storm wrestling room, Clint Manny ‘06 put together arguably the greatest career of any wrestler in school history. The 149-pounder amassed a school record 148 wins during his career, going 148-24. In his final two seasons he went 42-3 as a junior and 37-4 as a senior. One of just five three-time All-Americans in school history, Manny finished as the national runner-up at 149 in 2004 and 2005 after placing fourth in 2003. Manny earned MVP honors at the NWCA National Duals in 2004, leading Simpson to a third-place finish. That season, Manny led the Storm to a school-record 28 dual wins (28-4) and a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships, tied for the best finish in school history. Simpson placed sixth at nationals in 2005.

Manny graduated from Simpson in 2006 with a degree in Education before going on to earn his master’s in coaching and sports administration from Concordia University in 2012. He served as an assistant coach at Simpson following graduation before serving as head coach from 2008-2012.
