Fleshner gets fourth all-IIAC honor to close Indoor Championship

WAVERLY, Iowa – Simpson wrapped up the Iowa Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday with the women placing seventh and the men finishing in eighth.

Bayley Fleshner led the way for the women, taking home her fourth all-conference honor in the 60-meter hurdles. She placed third overall, stopping the clock in 9.18 seconds.

Lauren Martin just missed all-conference accolades in the 60-meter dash, finishing fourth in 7.97 seconds.

The men got a pair of fourth-place efforts from hurdler Dylan Kalinay and multi-event athlete Isaac Frazier.

Kalinay finished fourth in the 60 hurdles, crossing the finish line just .001 seconds behind Coe's Chris Hawkins. Kalinay ran 8.445 while Hawkins made it in 8.444, barely missing an all-conference certificate.

Frazier finished the two-day heptathlon competition in fourth place with 4,420 points. He started the day by taking fifth in the 60 hurdles (8.90), then came in 11th in the pole vault (9-8) and 10th in the 1,000 meters (3:08.15).
