Luth eclipses 1,000 kills, Storm take one in Wisconsin

OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Simpson volleyball team went 1-3 over the weekend at the Wis.-Oshkosh Invitational as senior outside hitter Jacque Luth became the 16th player in school history to reach 1,000 kills in a career.

Simpson started the weekend Friday with a 3-0 win over Finlandia before falling to Wis.-Platteville to close the day. The Storm (7-12) dropped both matches Saturday, losing to the host Titans in three sets and North Park in four.

Luth had eight kills in the Storm's loss to Platteville, putting her over the 1,000 kill milestone. She closed the weekend with 1,025 kills, good for 15th in school history.
