Merrill continues to dominate with strong performances in discus and shot put at Meet of Champions

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Olivia Merrill dominated the headlines at the Meet of Champions for the Simpson Storm women's track and field program, earning two top-10 marks in the discus and shot put.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

• Olivia Merrill became only the fifth Storm in school history to eclipse the 40-meter mark in the discus, reaching a best of 40.21m and moved up to fifth best in program history.
• The day wasn't done for Merrill as she claimed the sixth best mark in school history in the shot put, finishing the day with a best of 12.72m.
• In her first ever attempt at the 100m dash in college, Maddax DeVault tied for the ninth fastest time in school history at 12.66 seconds.
• Hannah True moved into ninth place in school history in the discus with her best toss of 34.93m, moving her up one spot in the record books.
• Isabelle Noring added her name to the school records book in the long jump with her mark of 5.24m, placing her tied for ninth all-time.
