INDIANOLA, Iowa – Two goals from Ally Hoffa and a third from Abby Bell gave the Simpson College women's soccer team a 3-0 victory over Luther on Wednesday night.
Hoffa struck 12 minutes into both halves, opening the scoring with a finish off a double pass from Bell and Mya Jansen before adding her second with the help of Pepper Earle. Bell put the game out of reach in the 72nd minute, lifting a shot over the Norse goalkeeper for her sixth goal of the season. She was assisted by Taylor Smith and Anna Eide.
With her brace, Hoffa now has 10 goals on the season, becoming the second player in the conference to reach double digits this year. She boasts five game-winning goals, including two in American Rivers Conference action.
Simpson (9-5-2, 5-2-0 A-R-C) improves to 20-18-3 all-time against Luther (6-7-2, 2-3-1 A-R-C), winning its seventh straight.
