Pascale makes six saves as Storm tie with Blugolds

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Goalkeepers Amanda Pascale and Bella Jones stole the spotlight Saturday, combining for 15 saves as Simpson and Wisconsin-Eau Claire played to a 0-0 draw.

Pascale and Jones faced a combined 33 shots but neither team could break through in the goalkeeper's duel. Pascale made six saves for the Storm (3-3-2), while Jones recorded nine for the hosts (1-5-2).

Simpson took 18 shots to the Blugolds' 15 and held a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks. Avery Plathe and Ally Hoffa led the Storm offensively with three shots apiece.

Simpson returns home to host Monmouth on Wednesday and will open American Rivers Conference action at Coe on Saturday.
