Storm slip to Loras to begin three-game roadtrip

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Traveling to A-R-C foe Loras, the Simpson Storm were unable to find their footing, falling 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Loras began the day with a goal in the 22nd minute to set the tone early. In the opening half, Loras put the pressure on the Storm, outshooting Simpson 10-to-3.

In the second half, Simpson was unable to gain the edge in momentum, continuing to play defensive as Loras outshot the Storm 9-to-4. The Duhawks added to the lead in the 56th minute, and later sealed the win with a third goal at the 71st minute mark.

Out of the seven shots for the Storm, four landed on net coming from four different players. Mitchell Dickson, Iain Macrae, Omar Amer, and Jack Hoopes all collected one shot on target. In goal, Nate Hersom got the start, going 77 minutes and seven saves before Jimmy Berna finished out the final 13 minutes, making two saves.
