Dickson scores twice before a last second Saint Mary's goal forces a 2-2 draw

WINONA, Minn. - Despite two goals from Mitchell Dickson, including a go-ahead goal in the 78th minute, Saint Mary's stunned the Storm with a goal with just 34 seconds left on the clock to force a 2-2 draw on Wednesday.

Both sides battled to a 0-0 score after the first half with Simpson (2-2-3) outshooting Saint Mary's (1-3-1) in the opening frame. Saint Mary's managed to get on the board first, scoring in the 65th minute but the Storm quickly responded. In the 71st minute, Dickson tied up the match with his second goal of the season. Dickson and the Storm continued to pressure Saint Mary's backline, ultimately taking the lead in the 78th minute, off an assist from Kinnick Andrews and Brayden Sithonnorath, to claim their first lead of the game.

The lead lasted until just seconds were left in the match as Saint Mary's made one final push to salvage a tie. Cohan Hare of Saint Mary's delivered the clutch goal in the final seconds, securing the 2-2 result.

Simpson as a squad finished with 13 shots compared to Saint Mary's 11 with Nate Hersom collecting five saves in net for the Storm.
