Storm receive NABC Team Academic Excellence Award
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Simpson men's basketball team has received the Team Academic Excellence Award for the third consecutive year, as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Thursday.
To achieve this honor, a team needs to have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Storm compiled a 3.49 GPA off the hardwood during the 2018-19 season.
2018-19 NABC Team Academic Excellence Award Winners
In order to earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes who competed during the 2018-19 season.
