DECORAH, Iowa -- Tyler Boesel tossed a one-hitter and Luther beat the Simpson baseball team 10-0 in seven innings to close an Iowa Conference series Saturday.
Jake Vogt homered, Jake Halverson doubled twice and drove in four and the Norse (14-4, 4-2) swept the three-game series with Simpson. Boesel struck out nine without issuing a walk to improve to 4-1.
Noah Sacco plated an infield single in the first inning for the Storm (2-15, 1-5), who dropped their fourth straight. Curt Castenson took the loss on the mound, allowing three runs -- all earned -- in 2 2/3 innings.
