Seventy student-athletes earn spring A-R-C All-Academic honors
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Seventy Simpson College student-athletes have been recognized on the American Rivers Conference All-Academic Spring Team for their performance in the classroom.
Simpson ranked third among conference institutions in total honorees, trailing only Wartburg (109) and Nebraska Wesleyan (71). Baseball led all Storm programs with 20 selections, followed by softball and men's track and field with 15 each. Women's track and field contributed 13 honorees, men's golf had six, and men's tennis added one.
The Storm softball team topped the conference in total academic honorees for the sport, while baseball ranked second among its A-R-C peers.
In total, Simpson placed 178 student-athletes on the A-R-C All-Academic Team for the year 2024-25.
To be eligible for the conference's All-Academic Team honors a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence, and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
