Coming in at No. 3 on our list of the top highlights of the 2013-14 season is the football team's dramatic run through the 2013 campaign.

The 2013 football season certainly didn't lack for excitement. The Storm won five games with scores in the fourth quarter or overtime, including three in the final minute. Simpson beat UW-River Falls on a quarterback sneak with 22 seconds left, Coe on a 23-yard touchdown pass in the second overtime and Dubuque on a 26-yard touchdown pass with 33 seconds left.

The win against Dubuque put Simpson into a tie for first place in the conference standings with just two weeks left in the season. When the season ended, Simpson owned a 7-3 record and a second place finish in the league.
