Women’s cross country runs well at Wartburg

WAVERLY, Iowa -- Emily Buchheit turned in a top-40 effort to lead the Simpson women's country team to an 11th-place finish at Wartburg's Dan Huston Invitational on Saturday.

The Storm finished with 293 points, cruising past conference foes Coe and Buena Vista in the process.

Buchheit finished 36th in the field of 222 runners, navigating the 6k course in 24.23.5. Shelby Hunemiller placed 54th in 24:52.5 and Audrey Klein came in 63rd in 25:12.0. Kaitlyn Murano ran 25:21.2 to place 69th.

Kyli Orr, Ashlee Litterer and Caitlyn Lucht rounded out the Storm's varsity finishers.
