Timms, Wood lead women’s cross country to win Brissman-Lundeen Invitational
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Sadie Timms and Mary Wood finished in the top 10 to lead the Simpson women's cross country team to a first-place finish at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Timms finished third overall with a time of 19:47.3 to bring home her third top 3 performance of the season while Wood crossed the finish line in 20:44.7 to give Simpson their second top 10 performer.
Seventeen teams competed for the gold but no one could knock off Simpson as they scored 101 points to win their third invitational of the season. Other top 5 team finishers were Moody Bible Institute (119), Millikin University (122), University of Dubuque (132) and Elmhurst College (132).
