Lights go out on Storm in five-set loss to Coe

INDIANOLA, Iowa — Cruising to a 2-1 lead after three sets, the Simpson volleyball team was well on its way to a crucial Iowa Conference win.

Then the lights went out.

Lindsey Koch and Jaimee Rindy had 18 kills apiece and Aryn Meisinger had 50 assists to lead the Kohawks (10-12, 2-2 Iowa Conference).

Jacque Luth finished with a team-high 14 kills, moving within six of the 1,000 kill milestone for her career. Hannah Lester had 13 kills while hitting .276 and Morgan Taylor chipped in with nine for the Storm (6-9, 1-4), who hit just .061 in the final two sets after hitting .253 in sets two and three.
