DUBUQUE, Iowa — Cassie Hoefling's match-high 10 kills weren't enough for the Simpson volleyball team in a 3-0 loss to Dubuque on Friday night.
Karrah Davis and Lauren Egnarski combined for 17 kills in a well-rounded effort for the Spartans (18-1, 3-1 Iowa Conference), who continued their torrid start to the season with the 25-21, 25-15, 25-19 win.
Hoefling tallied her 10 kills on 27 attacks with just three errors for a team-best .259 percentage. The duo of Hannah Lester and Jacque Luth were held in check, combining for 11 kills on the night for the Storm (6-7, 1-2).
