Storm fall to Loras in three

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Simpson volleyball team couldn't duplicate the execution it showed in a five-set win the night before, losing to Loras in three sets Saturday.

Simpson failed to generate quality attacking opportunities, falling 25-14, 25-16, 25-23 to the preseason Iowa Conference favorites.

Danni Kennedy hit .458 with 12 kills and the Duhawks (9-9, 1-3 Iowa Conference) hit .257 as a team. Loras responded from a five-set loss to Central the night before when it held a 2-0 lead to earn its first conference win of the season.

One night removed from a 27-kill performance, Jacqueline Luth finished with a match-high 15 for the Storm (8-9, 1-3). The Loras defense game-planned around Luth, who committed 10 errors in 58 attempts.

Simpson defense had six total blocks, getting four block assists from Hannah Lester.
