STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Simpson volleyball team lost in a straight sets to a tough Buena Vista squad on Tuesday, 25-15, 25-17, 25-18.

The Storm (5-6, 0-2 Iowa Conference) couldn't get into a rhythm offensively, hitting just .024 on the night with 21 kills. Hannah Lester led the way with seven kills and Jacqueline Luth chipped in with five.

Jade Schaap and Ali Grein led the attack for the Beavers (9-5, 1-0). Schaap had a match-high 15 kills and Grein had 11 in 13 attempts without an error. Buena Vista hit .275 as a team.

The Storm go to the IIAC-NACC Crossover in Lisle, Ill. this weekend. Simpson takes on Wisconsin-Lutheran and Concordia Chicago on Friday and closes the weekend with Benedictine and Aurora on Saturday.
