ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Simpson volleyball team opened the Augustana Pumpkin Bash with wins over Iowa Wesleyan and Principia on Friday afternoon.

Simpson came back to beat Iowa Wesleyan 3-1 (22-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-13) and swept Principia 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 25-19) to start the tournament.

The Storm improve to 11-21 on the season with the wins. Statistics were not available at press time.

Simpson closes the the book on the 2012 season Saturday when it takes on Concordia (Wis.) and William Penn on Saturday.
