ELMHURST, Ill. - The Simpson volleyball team split play on the first day of the Elmhurst Invitational on Friday, losing to No. 16 Chicago in straight sets before beating Lawrence in five.
The Storm (12-17) lost to Chicago 25-19, 25-11, 26-24 before beating Lawrence, 25-14, 24-26, 28-26, 21-25, 15-7.
Statistics were not available at press time.
Simpson closes out the weekend tomorrow when it faces host Elmhurst at 10 a.m. and North Central at Noon.
