Simpson drops first two matches of Blazer Invitational

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The Simpson volleyball team couldn't get in the win column on the first day of the Blazer Invitational on Friday, dropping 3-0 matches to Minnesota-Morris and host St. Benedict.

Simpson lost to Minnesota-Morris 25-20, 25-18, 25-19 before dropping their second match of the day to the host Blazers, 25-23, 25-17, 25-22.

Megan Dunlavy had a season-high 14 kills against the Blazers, hitting .290 with three block assists. McKaylie Croghan chipped in with seven kills and the Storm (1-7) hit .101 as a team. Ashley Padget led the way with 31 assists.

Statistics were not available from the Minnesota-Morris match at press time.
