Dunlavy, Schuster, Driscoll earn All-IIAC Honors

Megan Dunlavy earned First Team All-Iowa Conference honors for the first time in her career, while Amy Schuster and Monica Driscoll landed on the second team, the Iowa Conference announced.

The Storm's most consistent attacking threat throughout the season, Dunlavy - a junior middle hitter from Bettendorf, Iowa - led the team with 354 kills and a .275 hitting percentage, both ranking among the league-leaders. Her 55 total blocks also led the team, while her 36 service aces ranked second. Dunlavy earned Iowa Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors twice and hit a scorching .307 during the month of October. In October, she led Simpson to a 10-8 record, going undefeated in four conference matches leading into the Iowa Conference Tournament.

Schuster - a senior outside hitter from Indianola, Iowa - made her third appearance on an all-conference team. She earned second team honors in 2007 and 2008 before earning an honorable mention in 2009. Schuster finished the season second on the team with 349 kills while leading the way with 40 service aces. Schuster finished her career sixth in program history with 1,373 kills and 169 service aces. Her 3,843 total attempts is the fifth-most by a Simpson player.

Driscoll - a senior libero from Williamsburg, Iowa - made her first appearance on an all-conference team. Following a successful two-year stint at Des Moines Area Community College, Driscoll came to Simpson in 2009. In her first year as a starter for the Storm, she provided a steady presence in the back, leading the team with 498 digs. Driscoll earned Iowa Conference Libero of the Week honors Sept. 5 after being named to the all-tournament team at the season-opening Washington University Classic.
