Storm begin indoor season in dominating fashion
GRINNELL, Iowa - In the opening meet of the indoor season, the Storm wasted no time making history while collecting six first-place finishes.
Standing atop the podium was Maddie Hays in the 60m, Aaliyah Johnson in the high jump, Isabelle Noring in the long jump, Elian Dzangue in the shot put, Sydney McCarron in the weight throw, along with the Storm title in the 4x400 relay.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Jenna Thornburg earned her first spot in the school record books, earning the seventh fastest time in the 60 meter dash.
- Isabelle Noring added her name to the school records with the seventh best mark in long jump.
- The Storm swept the podium in the 60m dash behind the efforts of Hays, Jenna Thornburg, and Emma Cooper.
- Simpson claimed 16 different top-five finishes across eight events.
