Cullinan’s big PR paces Storm on final day of IIAC Championship

STORM LAKE, Iowa — Jackie Cullinan posted a personal-best heave in the javelin throw to lead the Simpson women's track and field team on the final day of the 2017 Iowa Conference Championships on Saturday.

Cullinan registered a throw of 109-feet, 1-inch, 11 feet better than her previous career mark. The toss was good for a seventh-place finish, the Storm's best of the day.

After an eighth-place showing in the 10,000 meters on Friday, Briana McCloskey took 14th in the 5,000, finishing in 19:47.16. Courtney Neuendorf added a 17th-place effort in the 1500, crossing the line in 5:14.64.
