Bio

A former Division III All-American, Jennifer Gruenisen begins her third season as Simpson's head women's tennis coach in the fall of 2017. 

A standout at Gustavus Adolphus College, Gruenisen earned All-America accolades in both singles and doubles as a senior. She was also named the 2008 Midwest Region Senior Player of the Year and has served as a teaching professional at several country and fitness clubs.

Gruenisen enjoyed individual and team success during her collegiate career. The Gusties qualified for the NCAA Team Tournament in each of her four years and she took part in the NCAA Individual Tournament as a senior in 2008. She earned all-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors seven times throughout her career: three times in singles and four in doubles. 

Gruenisen earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Gustavus in 2008 before graduating from Drake University Law School in 2012. She currently owns Jennifer Gruenisen Mediation and Law Office, LLC in Ankeny.
