Simpson bows out of IIAC Tournament

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The sixth-seeded Simpson women's tennis team suffered a 5-0 loss to third-seeded Wartburg in the first round of the Iowa Conference Automatic Qualifier Tournament on Friday.

The first-round loss brought an end to the season for the Storm (6-15). Coe won the tournament for a fourth-straight season, earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Wartburg started the match by sweeping doubles play and got wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles to seal the result.
