Women's tennis can't keep up with Cornell

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - Cornell took the first five singles matches and beat the Simpson women's tennis team 7-2 on Wednesday.

The Rams (9-2) added wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles for their fourth straight win.

Cassidy Bierbrodt had a hand in both wins for the Storm (4-5). She beat anne Seng 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles and teammed up with Megan Bradley to take down Seng and Katie Mintle 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.

Simpson returns to Iowa Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 20 when Buena Vista visits Indianola. Start time is set for 2 p.m.
