Women's tennis drops rain-shortened dual against Grand View

INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Simpson women's tennis team suffered a 5-1 setback in a rain-shortened contest against Grand View on Thursday afternoon.

The Storm (3-3) trailed 5-1 when the rains came and cut short the three singles matches in progress.

Kelli Ehrhardt came away with Simpson's lone victory, a 6-3, 6-1 win over Lauren Lightner at No. 2 singles.

Simpson hosts a pair of foes this weekend when Coe and Morningside visit Buxton Tennis Complex. The Coe dual begins at 9 a.m. followed by Morningside at 2 p.m.
