Women's tennis falls to Central, will face Graceland on Monday

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Kelli Ehrhardt and Kelli Greiner picked up singles wins for Simpson but the Storm fell to Central 7-2 on Thursday.

Ehrhardt beat Megan Davis 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles to improve her team-leading record to 11-5. The sophomore was named the team's MVP following the fall season.

Greiner needed a super tiebreaker at No. 3 singles to take down Sarah Montgomery 3-6, 6-4, 10-5. Greiner is second on the team in wins and now sits at 7-8.

Michelle Hartmann suffered a tough 6-3, 4-6, 10-5 loss at No. 1 singles and dropped a tightly contested match in doubles, as she and Krista Rogers lost to Montgomery and Jordan Langer 9-7 at No. 2.

The Storm (1-15) have one match remaining the season when they host Graceland on Monday, April 14 at 4 p.m. in Indianola. The match was originally scheduled for April 7 but had to be postponed.
